A Quyit Storm
(dedicated to Lady Quyit Storm, a friend on line only whose name reminded me of this poem)
A quiet storm, lies in wait...
Waves still calm, on the shore...
Two hearts together, mediate...
Should they trust, once more?
Pain calls issues, the warnings felt...
Of loves bindings, that have scarred...
Ignore the feelings, that have been dealt...
Or accept the past, that was marred?
Full moon lies in wait, overhead....
To observe the clouds near, and overtake...
As the calm leaves the beach, instead...
Pounding waves, reminding another mistake.
The hearts reach out, to touch....
Should they become just, as one...
The answer is simple, as such...
One plus one can be, one sum.
But only if, they are willing to give...
More than they expect, to receive....
For their love is a challenge, to live...
If you avoid broken hearts, not to grieve.
So what did they do, as the storm did break...
Did the waves, return to rest....
Each case is different, for what we make...
Hearts know we do our very best.
